On our way back home from Louisiana, we just had to make Nashville our overnight destination. Little did we know this spontaneous decision would turn into one of our most memorable Music City moments yet!

An Epic Broadway Surprise
Talk about being in the right place at the right time! We stumbled upon the CMA Awards 2022 live taping on Broadway, and y’all, my heart nearly stopped. There we were, watching Cody Johnson belt out ‘Til You Can’t’ and Miranda Lambert rock ‘If I Was a Cowboy’ right in front of us. Sometimes the unplanned moments truly are the best ones!

Late Night Bites & Sweet Dreams
After the concert high, we needed to refuel, so we headed to The Goat Germantown for a late-night bite. Perfect spot to wind down and digest the amazing evening we’d just experienced. For our overnight stay, we lucked out at the Hampton Inn & Suites Nashville North Skyline. When they said they only had suites available, we thought, “Why not live a little fancy?” And wow, the spaciousness was incredible – definitely recommend splurging for the suite if you can!
Breakfast of Champions
The next morning, we did what any self-respecting Nashville visitor does – hit up Biscuit Love. Yes, it’s totally a tourist trap, but hear me out – it’s worth the hype! We went all in with their famous bonuts (I mean, how can you not?), cheesy hash browns, and the legendary East Nasty. Throw in some lattes, and you’ve got yourself the perfect start to the day. Nutritious? Maybe not. Delicious? Absolutely!

Shopping & Dining Our Way Through Nashville
We spent the afternoon living our best lives at Hill Center, browsing through Anthropologie and Francescas (because vacation shopping just hits different). For lunch, we balanced out our indulgent breakfast with our favorite healthy spot, True Food Kitchen. A little retail therapy at The Mall at Green Hills followed, and we wrapped up our food tour with dinner at Noodles & Company.

Why Nashville Never Gets Old
This quick trip reminded us exactly why we keep coming back to Nashville. Even when you’re “just passing through,” this city has a way of creating magical moments you never expected. From impromptu country music performances to foodie adventures and shopping sprees, Nashville just never disappoints.
Every time we visit, we discover something new to love about this city. Whether it’s your first visit or your fifteenth, Nashville just has that special something that keeps you coming back for more. And trust me, we’re already planning our next visit!
Pro Tips:
- Hampton Inn & Suites Nashville North Skyline’s suites are worth the splurge
- Hit Biscuit Love early to beat the crowds (but don’t skip those bonuts!)
- The Hill Center area is perfect for a relaxed afternoon of shopping
- Always keep your evening plans flexible – you never know what Broadway might surprise you with!
This spontaneous stay turned out to be one for the books, proving yet again that sometimes the best travel moments are the ones you never saw coming. Nashville, you never cease to amaze us!
