Quick Nashville Getaway: From Anniversary Bliss to Music City Magic

We decided to have a little fun in Nashville after getting back from our 2-year wedding anniversary celebration in Miami and St. Lucia. (That’s a blog for another time because, wow, what a trip!) Instead of heading straight home, we thought, “Why not stretch this vacation vibe just a little longer?” And honestly, I’m so glad we did!

Hutton Hotel Heaven

Our first stop was the Hutton Hotel, and let me tell you, I was living for the amenities. Grown Alchemist products? Yes, please! They’ve also had Triumph & Disaster before, which is another favorite of mine. I’m a lady who loves her hotel amenities. You can ask my husband. He’ll confirm with a smirk and a laugh. Haha!

The Hutton was chic, cozy, and just what we needed after all the travel. It felt like the perfect place to kick off our mini Nashville adventure.

Brunch at Milk & Honey in The Gulch

The next morning, we met up with friends for brunch at Milk & Honey in The Gulch. None of us had been there before, so it was a first for everyone. Wow, what an experience! Their avocado toast was unreal. Like, I’m still dreaming about it. Highly recommend this spot if you’re ever in Nashville! It’s a tourist trap that is worth the hype!! It was so incredible we took zero photos, but I promise when we go back, I will make up for that.

Jewelry Obsession Begins at Uncommon James

After brunch, we wandered over to Uncommon James, and this is where my jewelry obsession officially began. I got my first piece, the Rhapsody earrings in Rose Gold. Let me tell you, they are stylish yet classic perfection.

Fast forward to today: I have an entire Uncommon James collection (thank you, Labor Day sales!). They heavily discount everything during that sale, and it’s addictive in the best way possible. Plus, being an OG Uncommon James girly has its perks, I get random texts offering $20 off because they haven’t seen me in a while. Between coupons and points, I’ve even snagged pieces for basically free. If you’re into modern, minimal jewelry or chic apparel, do yourself a favor and check them out!

Celebrity Spotting: TruMav Fitness by Tim McGraw

Right next to Uncommon James is TruMav Fitness, which is owned by Tim McGraw. How cool is that? We didn’t go inside or anything but thought it was neat to stumble upon something connected to such a big name.

Dinner at Emmy Squared

For dinner, we headed to Emmy Squared, and let me just say, they make an excellent burger. Apparently, it was voted the best burger in Nashville one year, and honestly? It deserves the title. Emmy Squared is one of those places that foodies absolutely need to try when visiting Music City!

Michael Bublé Concert at Bridgestone Arena

After dinner, we were debating whether to head home or keep the night going when we saw that Michael Bublé was performing at Bridgestone Arena. OH MY GOSH!!! Cue my teenage self screaming internally because I used to be obsessed with him, like “I’m going to marry Michael Bublé” levels of obsessed (so embarrassing). Thankfully, I’m happily married now and no longer daydreaming about marrying him… but still!

Rich graciously got us tickets (he’s seriously the best), and we had such an amazing time. Michael’s voice is just as beautiful as I remembered, he’s so talented, and it felt surreal seeing him years later with my husband instead of my teenage fantasies. Fun fact: The last time I saw Michael Bublé live was for my Sweet 16 when my Aunt took me to his concert in Indianapolis, and he even gave me a shoutout! It was like something out of a dream back then. Seeing him again now felt like such a full-circle moment. Who knew?!

Crashing at Candlewood Suites – Nashville/Goodlettsville

After the concert, we crashed at Candlewood Suites at Nashville/Goodlettsville, an IHG hotel. Honestly? It was just a place to lay our heads, not fancy or anything special, but it worked for the night. Normally we’re pretty good at finding luxury hotels for similar prices, so this wasn’t our top choice… but hey, it served its purpose!

Breakfast at Ugly Mugs

The next morning started with coffee and breakfast at Ugly Mugs, which was such a cute little spot. Their coffee hit the spot perfectly after all the excitement from the night before!

Five Daughters Donuts

Before heading home, we stopped by Five Daughters Bakery to grab some donuts, because no trip to Nashville is complete without them! These donuts are next level. We brought them home to savor throughout the week (and yes, they were just as delicious days later).

Wrapping Up: A Perfect Mini Getaway

This quick little trip turned out to be so much fun. Great food, shopping finds (hello again, Uncommon James!), spontaneous concert magic with Michael Bublé… what more could you ask for? Nashville has such a vibrant energy that makes even a short visit feel special and memorable.

If you’re ever looking for a quick getaway filled with good vibes and unforgettable moments, Music City might just be your answer!
