Y’all, let me tell you about turning our Miami work trip into a mini-adventure! Instead of rushing straight to catch our flight, Rich and I decided to make the most of our journey by taking a scenic drive to Nashville. After all, any chance to visit our home away from home is worth taking! We planned a few stops along the way, eager to explore some local attractions and, of course, sample some of those famous Nashville burger spots to try. As we meandered through charming small towns, we stumbled upon a quaint diner where the burgers were just as legendary. With each bite, we couldn’t help but think how this spontaneous detour had transformed our work trip into an unforgettable adventure.
Finding Sweet Treasures: Deja Moo Creamery & Coffee Co.
Oh my goodness, we discovered the most adorable spot in Springfield, TN! Deja Moo Creamery & Coffee Co. is seriously the cutest place you’ll ever see. The moment we walked in, I fell in love with their fun color scheme – think green, purple, and pink everywhere! And I just have to say it – the whole place was udderly adorable (see what I did there? I couldn’t resist!).
As road trip foodies, we had to try a bit of everything. Their specialty lattes were absolutely perfect for that mid-journey pick-me-up we needed. We also grabbed some seriously delicious sandwiches for lunch, and because we can never pass up something sweet, we snagged a sprinkle sugar cookie for later. Talk about a perfect one-stop shop! If you’re ever passing through Springfield, you absolutely need to make a detour here – trust me, it’s worth every single calorie!
Nashville International Airport: What a Glow-Up!
Can you believe I hadn’t been on an airplane since 2019? As dedicated road-trippers, Rich and I usually prefer exploring on four wheels, but Miami was calling! Walking into Nashville International Airport was like stepping into the future – they’ve done some major renovations from 2020 to 2023, and wow, what a difference! Everything was so sleek and modern, I almost didn’t recognize it.
A Quick but Memorable Nashville Moment
Even though our Nashville stop was super quick this time, it still managed to capture our hearts just like it always does. There’s just something special about this city that keeps drawing us back. Maybe it’s the friendly faces, the amazing food spots like Deja Moo, or just that undeniable Nashville charm – whatever it is, it never disappoints!
As we settled into our seats on the plane, I couldn’t help but smile thinking about how we’d turned what could have been just another travel day into something special. That’s what I love about traveling – it’s not just about getting from point A to point B, it’s about all the little adventures you can squeeze in along the way!
