Rich and I decided it was time for some quality time together, and what better place than our favorite city – Nashville! This trip turned out to be quite the adventure, filled with amazing food, shopping wins, and even a few unexpected surprises. We explored the vibrant music scene, indulged in mouthwatering barbecue, and stumbled upon a charming little boutique that had the perfect gifts for our friends back home. As our trip progressed, we started brainstorming some nashville birthday celebration ideas, thinking about how to plan a memorable party for the next time we visited. With all the energy and excitement in the air, it was hard to believe how quickly time flew by in this lively city!

Fido in Hillsboro Village: Coffee, Lunch, and Celebrity Connections
Our first stop was Fido in Hillsboro Village, and wow, was I excited to try Taylor Swift’s favorite coffee shop! The murals around the building absolutely stole my heart – there’s this adorable dog mural right on the back of Fido, and another one with these super cool dripping lips on a nearby building. Of course, we had to snap some photos!
For lunch, Rich went with his classic choice of a burger and fries, while I opted for what turned out to be one of the freshest salads I’ve ever had. But the real treats were our winter drink specials for dessert. Rich’s “Toasty The Snowman” was basically heaven in a cup – a snow day latte with sweet marshmallow and brown sugar syrup, topped with this giant toasted marshmallow. I went for the Candy Cane Mocha, which came with crushed candy canes on top. So festive and delicious!

Shopping and Hotel Adventures in Green Hills
After lunch, I just had to check out Anthropologie at Hill Center (because, honestly, when don’t I?). Then we headed to our hotel, the Courtyard Nashville Green Hills. Oh boy, did we have an adventure there! Everything seemed fine at first, but let’s just say things got interesting…
The Mall at Green Hills was our next stop – always fun just browsing around! For dinner, we tried Dicey’s Pizza & Tavern, where we shared this amazing Cacio E Pepe pizza with chicken. Absolutely delightful!

The Hotel Saga
Now, about that hotel situation… It turned into quite the ordeal! Our room’s air conditioner wasn’t working, and it was absolutely suffocating. The staff was super helpful and moved us, but then it was like a game of musical rooms – one had cleanliness issues, another had a broken shower, and another was missing basic supplies. Total nightmare! Even though we booked through Priceline Express Deals as “non-refundable,” the hotel staff was incredible and got us a full refund. First time staying in Green Hills area, and while the staff was amazing, the room situation… not so much.
The Perch in Brentwood
After barely sleeping, we treated ourselves to breakfast at The Perch in Brentwood. The lattes and breakfast sandwiches totally made up for our rough night! Oh, and get this – on our way there, we caught a glimpse of Taylor Swift’s parents’ house. Super secure, as you’d expect, but still pretty cool to see!

Cool Springs Galleria: Shopping Success and Food Heaven
The highlight of our shopping at Cool Springs Galleria? Finding THE perfect dress for the upcoming Eras tour! It was meant to be – lavender, sparkly, and only $15 at H&M! It looked like something straight out of a country music star’s closet, giving total Dolly Parton/Loretta Lynn/Kacey Musgraves vibes. Even got compliments in the dressing room!
For dinner, we hit up Hugh Baby’s BBQ & Burger Shop in Berry Hill. Rich went all out with a BBQ pork and beef burger, fries, and strawberry shake, while I kept it classic with a cheeseburger and fries. Absolute perfection!

Sweet Endings: Frothy Monkey on 12th South
We couldn’t leave without stopping at Frothy Monkey on 12th South. Their coffee sleeves with “Take Care of Each Other” just melted my heart! We also checked out this super cute new place called Wanna Spoon Cereal Bar – Rich is such a cereal fanatic, so we had to see it! The decor was absolutely adorable.
Before heading home, we made one final stop at Golly G’s for some late-night cake because… why not? Very much a mood, right?

Despite the hotel drama, Nashville never disappoints. Getting to spend quality time with Rich, trying new places, and finding the perfect Eras tour dress made this trip absolutely perfect. Can’t wait for our next Nashville adventure! 💕
