Flying back from Miami after my husband’s work trip, we couldn’t resist the temptation to make a pit stop in our favorite city, Nashville. This vibrant metropolis never fails to charm us, and our latest visit was no exception. As we wandered through the bustling streets, the sounds of live music filled the air, drawing us toward the honky-tonks that line Broadway. We indulged in delicious southern cuisine, reminiscing about our favorite dishes while planning our next adventure in the region. The thought of southern travel from Nashville to Miami danced in our minds, a perfect blend of the rich culture and warm hospitality we cherish in both places.

Late Night Indulgence at The Goat Germantown
Our first stop was The Goat Germantown, a hidden gem beloved by locals. The charm of the Germantown neighborhood set the perfect backdrop for our late-night bite. We started with baked potato tots, followed by boneless wings with fries and a skillet mac and cheese. The comfort food was simply divine, proving once again why The Goat is a must-visit spot.

Luxurious Stay at Kimpton Aertson Hotel
Thanks to a last-minute Priceline Express Deal, we scored a room at the Kimpton Aertson Hotel. Located across the street from Taylor Swift’s penthouse, this hotel truly makes you feel like royalty. The stunning marble floors, spacious rooms, and aesthetically pleasing bathrooms (despite the slightly weak shower pressure) create an atmosphere of pure luxury.
The hotel’s unique amenities are worth noting. Guests can request an Anthropologie stylist for a curated wardrobe experience or borrow instruments like an Appalachian dulcimer or ukulele. While we didn’t partake in these offerings, they certainly add to the hotel’s allure.

Brunch Extravaganza at The Buttermilk Ranch
On the recommendation of our friends Ernie and Stacy, we brunched at The Buttermilk Ranch in 12 South. The menu is extensive, causing serious FOMO, so we opted to sample a variety of dishes. We indulged in Brown Butter Beignets, Loaded Ranchers, Hitman Coffee Bacon, a Gruyere & Chive French Omelet, and Blueberry Pancakes. Every bite was a delight.
Pro tip: Be prepared for a wait, as it’s a popular spot. We recommend perusing the menu while waiting to expedite your ordering process once seated.

Shopping Spree at Tanger Outlets Nashville
Our next stop was the newer Tanger Outlets. This shopping complex offers a great mix of brands and deals. I snagged some adorable $10 sunglasses at American Eagle outlet, while Rich found some nice pairs of jeans at the Levi Outlet. It’s definitely worth a visit for bargain hunters.

Asian Culinary Delights at Hawkers Asian Street Food
Dinner at Hawkers Asian Street Food was a first for us, and it immediately became a new favorite. We savored Yi’s-Yi’s Chicken Dumplings, Spring Rolls, Bulgogi Steak, and Beef Haw Fun. The flavors were incredible, and we can’t wait to return.

Caffeinating for the Journey Home
Before hitting the road, we made a quick stop at Frothy Monkey for some much-needed caffeine. It was the perfect end to our Nashville adventure.
Our pit stop in Nashville once again proved why this city feels like our home away from home. From late-night bites to luxurious stays and culinary adventures, Nashville never disappoints. We left with full hearts, full stomachs, and already planning our next visit to this enchanting city.
